Mariko Matsuoka (松岡 真理子, Matsuoka Mariko) is a character from Ju-on: Black Ghost and Ju-on: White Ghost portrayed by Yuri Nakamura.
Biography[]
Mariko is Kiwako Yokota's sensitive younger sister, Yoshieki's wife, Takashi's mother, Yokota's sister-in-law and Fukie's and her twin's aunt. When Fuki starts to be haunted by the curse, Kiwako comes to Mariko and asks her for help. She conducts a futile failed ritual to expunge the curse and is manipulated by it to expunge Fuki's soul instead, effectively killing her. She is killed along with her son and husband in their house by Fukie's twin. Her ghost later visits a despondent Kiwako at the hospital's roof.

- The name Mariko means "truth, verity" (真理) (mari (2)) and "child" (子) (ko).
- Mariko's surname Matsuoka means "pine tree, fir tree" (松) (matsu) and "ridge, hill" (岡) (oka).
